SUPPORT US TODAY

We are a non-profit organisation, and all monies are put back into running the reserve and facilities for future generations.

Without the support of our members, supporters, and donors we could not survive; the stewardship of Monkton Nature Reserve is the most important aspect of the work of the Thanet Countryside Trust. Book donations

We are always grateful to receive donations of books. If you are able to donate books that are in a suitable condition for us to sell on, the money raised will help Thanet Countryside Trust to continue its work of conservation and education.

The shop

We offer a range of ‘pocket money’ type gifts in our shop from nature themed toys to jewellery and knitted items. The proceeds go back to running the reserve.

Become a volunteer

Want to meet new people? Develop skills? Get involved in a project? Why not join the team of volunteers at Monkton Nature Reserve?

As Monkton Nature Reserve is a charity, volunteers are at the core of our operations, and we are always looking for new volunteers to join our team to allow us to expand by offering more activities and events. There are many opportunities – some for those who prefer to be outside, others inside our Field Study Centre with its shop, café, bird viewing area and extensive second-hand bookshop. Volunteers also create homemade products that we can sell in our shop.

We would appreciate whatever time you can offer – be it just a couple of hours a week or a full day – or even more! If you feel you would like to join us and help us to expand on what we can offer all our visitors, please visit us, contact us by e-Mail, or download, fill-in and return the PDF Volunteer Application Form. We will then contact you to arrange an informal interview to discuss how you can join our team. Thank you.
